Foundation Webinar for September 23, 2021
“The Baldrige Excellence Framework and its Criteria for Performance Excellence incorporate proven practices on current leadership and management issues into a set of questions that help you (align resources and efforts), rise to challenges, leverage strengths, and manage all the components of your organization as a unified whole to achieve your mission, ongoing success, and performance excellence. This view of an organization is called a systems perspective.” (pp ii, 2021-2022 Baldrige Excellence Framework).
Similarly, the discipline of Strategic Management enables organizations to systematically prepare for and overcome challenges to take advantage of market opportunities. Strategic Management is that set of processes and competencies required to specify an organization’s overall direction and strategy, define and track measures, then delineate, execute, govern, and continuously manage processes and initiatives to attain goals and objectives. The Strategic Management Performance System is a proven framework and set of leading industry practices to achieve tangible organizational results by thinking, planning, and acting strategically.
In this webinar speakers will do a “Cross Walk” that integrates the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence and Strategic Management Performance System frameworks. The webinar serves as introduction to the upcoming live online “Mastering Strategy in Health Care” boot camp co-sponsored by the Baldrige Foundation, George Washington University’s Center for Excellence in Public Leadership and LBL Strategies. “Mastering Strategy in Health Care” is targeted to senior leaders in health care and will be delivered via ten half-day sessions over two weeks (Week 1: January 31 - February 4, 2022; Week 2: February 7-11, 2022)
